Celery Seed Essential Oil (Apium graveolens) is steam distilled from the dried seeds and was historicallly used to soothe physical discomforts.
Celery Seed has always been recognized as a helpful natural aid to digestion, liver cleansing and urinary tract processes. It is also said to increase milk flow in nursing mothers.
Celery Seed essential oil is also helpful for arthritis and rheumatism as well as liver issues such as hepatitis.
Celery Seed rates 30,300 uTE/100g on the ORAC scale.
Key Constituents of Celery Seed Essential Oil:
Limonene — 60-75%
Application: As a dietary supplement, dilute two drops with V-6™ Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex or other organic vegetable oil (e.g., virgin coconut, olive, almond). Put in a capsule and take up to three times daily. Topical: Dilute one drop V-6 or other vegetable oil; apply to desired area. Aromatic: Diffuse up to one hour three times daily. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition, consult a health-care practitioner prior to use.
