Geranium Therapeutic Grade™ Essential Oil
Geranium Essential Oil (Pelargonium graveolens) has a wonderfully uplifting, calming, flowery scent. Geranium is excellent for the skin, and its aromatic influence helps release negative memories. Used traditionally to support the circulatory and nervous systems, a great deal of its strength lies in its ability to revitalize body tissues. Geranium is also beneficial for children with insufficient liver growth and activity. Geranium has an approximate ORAC of 1,010,011 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter.
Application: For dietary, aromatic or topical use. When using as a supplement, dilute one drop in 4 drops of vegetable oil and put into capsule. Then take one capsule before each meal or as desired. Possible skin sensitivity. If pregnant or under a doctor's care, consult your physician. Dilution recommended for both topical and internal use. Dilute before using on sensitive areas such as the face, neck, genital area, etc. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid using on infants and very small children.
Fragrance: helps release negative memories and eases nervous tension; balances emotions, lifts the spirit and fosters peace, well-being and hope.
Wellness Solutions: Research from Jean Valnet, MD shows Geranium essential oil alleviates hepatitis/fatty liver; also balances skin conditions such as dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, acne, vitiligo; fungal infections like ringworm; viral infections like Herpes and shingles; restores hormone baalnce; improves blood flow thereby increasing circulation; relief for menstrual issues and PMS.
On the emotional side, Geranium can be used to clear mother or female issues. According to Carolyn Mein's book, Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils, one can also layer Ylang ylang for sexual abuse issues, then Forgiveness and Acceptance for issues of abandonment. Also helpful are the blends SARA and Inner Child. Geranium can also be used for lack of feeling emotion or apathy, obsessiveness, and confusion.
