German Chamomile Essential Oil (Matricaria recutita) has been used to support the body's natural response to irritation and injury. This oil contains chamazulene, a compound studied for its ability to help the body's natural inflammatory response.
German Chamomile is listed in Dioscorides' De Materia Medica (A.D. 78), Europe's first guide to medicines which became the standard reference for herbal treatments for over 1,700 years. German Chamomile essential oil has been highly esteemed for over 3,000 years being used for many types of skin conditions and stress-related issues.
German Chamomile is a powerful antioxidant because it inhibits lipid perioxidation, as well as very effective against tumors and inflammation. It promotes good digestive, liver and gallbladder health and can be used for hepatitis and fatty liver issues, arteriosclerosis, arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome as well as skin regeneration for abscesses, rashes, dermatitis, acne, eczema and scar tissue. German Chamomile essential oils is a cleanser of the blood and supports the pancreas.
According to Kurt Schnaubelt in Medical Aromatherapy, German Chamomile oil is one of the most reliable anti-inflammatory agents and it neutralizes toxic bacterial metabolic wastes which can be the cause of fever during acute illness.
German Chamomile is also helpful as an anesthetic and its fragrance can serve as a relaxant while it dispels anger and helps to release emotions linked to the past, soothing and clearing the mind. Also effective for insomnia and nervous tension release; diffuse overnight and wake up refreshed!

Chamazulene — 2-5%
Bisabolol Oxide A — 32-42%
Application: As a dietary supplement, put two drops in a capsule. Take three times daily or as needed. Topical: Apply 2-4 drops to desired area. Dilution not required except for the most sensitive skin. Aromatic: Diffuse up to one hour three times daily. Keep out of reach of children.
